Beaconsfield Rd., Brookline Kitchen Remodeling

STORY

A cramped, outdated kitchen was converted to a bright, spacious room by removing interior walls, reorganizing the layout, and accentuating light. The new kitchen features honey-colored laminate wood flooring, gleaming white engineered quartz stone countertops and stainless steel appliances.

Relocating the sink freed up counter space near the stove. An L-shaped counter extending from the sink to the center of the room adds workspace with a breakfast bar at the end. A microwave inset into the end of the L facing the kitchen boosts functionality without sacrificing counter space.

The original white tile work behind the stove and between lower and upper cabinets was enhanced with glossy white paint and a central panel of patterned white tile. Refurbishing original cabinets, crown molding, door trim and windows and updating cabinet hardware accentuates the design scheme.

Recessed ceiling lights over the stove, sink and workspace and stainless steel and glass pendant lights over the L brighten the room.
