How we work

From first measure to punch list.

01

Sales

A call, then an on-site walkthrough, and a written Proposal — scope and pricing. A flat Design & Planning fee starts the design work and credits toward your total.

02

Design & Planning

Measurements, material selections, layout, and a full design package — floor plans and renderings — before a single tool is lifted.

03

Procurement

Everything ordered, tracked, and staged before demolition — cabinets, tile, and fixtures confirmed so construction never waits on a delivery.

04

Construction

One project lead, weekly updates — from demo to the final detail.

05

Completion

Punch-list walk, final inspection, and a written warranty on workmanship.

What homeowners said

Notes from finished projects.

Completely remodeled our condo… Bay State was very accommodating… professional… ensured we are happy customers.
Elizabeth J. · Greater BostonCondo renovation
Despite significant issues during demolition, the team communicated effectively and suggested practical enhancements. The result was a stunning bathroom and kitchen. Highly recommend.
Kimberley C. · Greater BostonKitchen & bathroom remodel
Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. The Bay State crew went the extra mile to get it how I wanted. Altogether satisfied with the job.
Bathsheba G. · Greater BostonHome renovation
We were looking everywhere on Google — I read a million reviews — and then I was so relieved. We originally hired them to work on two bathrooms, and once we saw what a good job they did, we hired them to basically redo our whole house. We are very satisfied with the result, and we would hire them again in a heartbeat.
Bartlett Crescent Client · BrooklineTwo bathrooms, then whole-home
Remodeled our bathroom… could not be more satisfied… David provided expert advice and went above and beyond… excellent workmanship by Marcio.

About

A Greater Boston design-build team, serving the same corridor since 2007.

Bay State Remodeling is the general contracting arm of Bay State Holdings Group, the same company behind the Bay State Kitchen Gallery showroom in Waltham. We work on a short list of Greater Boston homes at a time, so one project lead can actually be on every job.

Bay State puts one project lead on every job — they run the first walk and stay on through closeout. We write in whole sentences and answer the phone when it rings.

Most of our clients come from a referral. That is the standard we want to keep.
