Windermere Rd. — Newton
A whole-home renovation on Windermere Rd. in Newton, taken from design through completion with one project lead.

A whole-house remodeling project on Garland Road in Newton transformed a small home into a 5,500 square foot residence. The project involved installing a new foundation and basement, adding a second story, and expanding the living space. The remodel includes six bathrooms, a powder room, a two-car garage, a remodeled kitchen, a finished attic, a primary bedroom with a spacious walk-in closet, and a mudroom. New landscaping and a back patio were also added.
This project required extensive concrete work, framing, new siding, a new roof, updated heating and air conditioning systems, electrical, and plumbing. The interior features seamless wood floors that flow from room to room.
Dormer windows on the home and garage lend a Colonial-style look. Andersen 400 series energy-efficient windows were installed throughout. These custom-made, double-hung windows with mullions on the upper panes bring in natural light and enhance the architectural style.
The gabled roof frames the new front entrance, which features sidelights and decorative glass. The vibrant blue entry door, repeated on the garage doors, adds a rhythm of color and texture. Light blue Hardie plank siding and white trim enhance the classic appearance and street appeal.
The kitchen remodel created an expansive, modern space with top-of-the-line built-in appliances, new cabinetry, and quartz countertops. The bathroom remodels feature clean lines, glass shower enclosures, solid wood cabinetry, and elegant wall tiles. A free-standing bathtub serves as the focal point in the master bathroom.
This project showcases a full-scale residential transformation, blending modern amenities with classic design elements.
