    The project

This client sought a complete home makeover, and we renovated nearly every aspect of the house. The project included installing a new roof, windows, doors, and flooring, as well as adding extra space to increase the home’s square footage. The newly-added bonus suite in the basement, for example, contributed 1,300 sq. feet of living space. The additional spaces now allow the homeowner to host more guests, including in-laws, thanks to the new full bedroom and bath.

Throughout the project, our designers collaborated with the client to select materials that are clean, bright, and reflective of natural light. The white shaker-style kitchen cabinetry and white vanities in the remodeled bathrooms enhance the brightness of the spaces, reflecting the natural light streaming through the new windows. The grey paint used throughout the home offers a neutral, timeless color that appeals to a broad range of tastes, while the tile choices in the bathrooms follow a similar neutral palette of whites and greys.

Emphasizing natural light was also a priority during construction. We enlarged the window opening in the master bedroom’s basement suite to create an egress window, allowing even more natural light to flood the space and complement the neutral paint tones. The sunroom, with its new tile floor and finishes, fully embraces natural light, making it an ideal spot for relaxation or dining.

After the remodel, the home became an inviting space for the family, with spacious, warm rooms perfect for spending time together. The finished basement, complete with a new fireplace and luxury vinyl flooring, adds to the home’s comfort and functionality.

Ultimately, the client was thrilled with the transformation and the additional space it provided for their large family. The fully-finished basement is now a welcoming area for in-laws and guests to stay.
