    Kitchen remodels in Belmont, MA

Most Belmont kitchens we run land between $50,000 and $90,000 for a full single-family remodel with cabinetry, countertops, and a standard finish package. Inset cabinetry, paneled appliances, and structural work move the number higher.

    Why Belmont

How Belmont reads on our schedule

Belmont is about 14 minutes from our Newton office (437 Newtonville Ave., Suite B, Newton, MA 02460, USA), with 1920s colonials, mid-century capes, and a small band of 1960s ranches up Belmont Hill. We see the most calls from Belmont Center, Cushing Square and Belmont Hill, where housing stock is fairly consistent across blocks and our crews know the inspectors by name.

    What we typically do

    Common scope for Belmont kitchens

Belmont kitchens usually come to us with a wall to remove between the kitchen and dining room, a soffit to drop, and original electrical that needs to come up to code. The first conversation is about the layout the new room can hold — single-row, L, U, or one-island — then how much of the existing footprint is staying.

Cabinetry comes from Bay State Kitchen Gallery, our design showroom, with three lines: Fabuwood at the value tier, Mantra in the mid-range with a limited lifetime warranty, and Europa for full custom inset with a 100-year limited warranty. Countertops are templated after cabinets are set; we walk every client through the slab yards in Watertown, Norwood, or Avon before the slab is sealed.

On-site build is typically 8 to 12 weeks once permits clear, depending on whether a load-bearing wall is coming out and how long the cabinet line takes to ship. One project lead from first measure through final inspection.

    Permits and logistics

    Belmont permit notes

Belmont Office of Community Development reviews kitchen and bath permits in 3 to 5 weeks. Town inspectors run a tight schedule — we book rough framing and rough plumbing inspections together to avoid a second waiting period.

Bay State handles all permit applications and inspections. Copies of approved permits are provided to every client. See how the project flows.
