Luxury Bathroom Remodeling Services for Lincoln, MA

Today’s featured bathroom in Lincoln, MA was thoughtfully redesigned to maximize functionality while updating the design aesthetics. To better facilitate busy family routines, we added a new pocket door that created two distinct zones: a dedicated shower zone and a separate powder room.

This transformation was part of a recent South Commons bathroom remodel in Lincoln, where we optimized the space by incorporating modern black fixtures, a walk-in shower with wood-look tiles, and a stylish yet functional powder room. See the full project details here.

Bathroom before remodel featuring a shower with glass doors, pedestal sink, and patterned tile flooring.
Modern shower with floor-to-ceiling gray tile, a frameless glass door, and black rainfall and handheld shower fixtures.
Redesigned bathroom showcasing a dark wood vanity, modern sink, and soothing blue walls for a fresh and clean look.

The new shower features sleek modern tiles complimented by matte black fixtures, a built-in bench, a shower niche for additional storage, and a linear drain for a seamless, contemporary look.

The remodeled powder room now boasts a stylish vanity, quartz countertop, and softer lighting. The carefully chosen finishes create a serene and peaceful ambiance that perfectly balances privacy with luxury and sophistication.

Remodeling Plans for a Sleek, Modern Bathroom

As you can see from the project plans below, the bathroom footprint and plumbing fixture locations remained the same.

    Elevations and Tile Layout

Additional work for this bathroom renovation included:

    • Adding a light and switch for the dedicated shower area
    • A new shower drain pan for the modern, linear drain
    • Glass shower door and hardware
    • New plumbing fixtures, lights, and vanity
    • Pocket door to separate the powder room and shower areas
    • Designer tiles with a variegated finish and white grout for the shower
    • Large luxury white tiles and grout for the floor

This sleek bathroom remodel was part of a kitchen and bathroom renovation project we completed for one of your South Commons neighbors here in Lincoln, MA. See how the kitchen was also transformed into a bright, open space for cooking and entertaining. See the full project details here.

The video below shows the finished powder room, shower room, and kitchen.

South Commons Luxury Bath and Gourmet Kitchen Remodel Video

This stunning remodeled bathroom has been optimized to its fullest potential by carefully considering the family’s privacy and usability needs while incorporating their unique design style.

Bathroom remodels can be challenging because they require every primary system found in the house.

    • Water supply and drainage for tubs, sinks, and toilets
    • Electrical system for lights, switches, plugs, and lights
    • Ventilation to remove steam and humidity
    • Cabinetry and countertops
    • Plumbing and electrical fixtures
    • Flooring options such as stone, tile, and marble
    • Insulation and drywall for existing and new walls
    • Paint and other finish materials

Due to the scope of work involved, homeowners should always choose a full-service bathroom remodeling contractor like Bay State Remodeling. Our primary goal is to streamline the design and construction phases to reduce costs and project timelines for homeowners and their families.

Here are some helpful tips for planning a bathroom remodel for your family home.

How pocket doors can enhance bathroom functionality and privacy

Pocket doors are ideal for almost every tiny space, including bathrooms, mud, and laundry rooms. Since the door slides into the hollow wall cavity, you don’t give up valuable floor space to accommodate the swing path. The potential doorknob damage of a traditional hinged door Is also eliminated.

Pocket doors are available in standard door sizes or can be custom-built to meet your needs or requirements. While hollow pocket doors are ideal for improving bathroom functionality and access, solid wood pocket doors are recommended for increased privacy.

Why Modern Plumbing Fixtures Are Essential for Your Bathroom Renovation

While the existing plumbing and shower fixtures can be reused to reduce costs, entrusting your new bathroom to aging shower fixtures can be risky. Replacing them as part of the bathroom transformation will protect against future leaks or failure, which can lead to water or flood damage. Additionally, modern plumbing fixtures use substantially less water than their older counterparts, which can lower water bills month after month.

Why Matte Black Plumbing Fixtures Are Perfect for a Modern Bathroom

Matte black plumbing fixtures provide a sleek, sophisticated look resistant to smudges, fingerprints, and water spots. The dark color creates a bold design statement by adding a touch of drama that perfectly compliments clean white fixtures and other contemporary aesthetics.

The Benefits of Linear Drain Options

Unlike traditional drains, linear drains provide a stylish and modern appearance while improving drainage capabilities that reduce cleaning and maintenance chores. Linear drains are ideal for curbless or barrier-free shower designs that enhance accessibility while complementing other design elements.

Tips for Incorporating Stylish Vanities into Your Bathroom Remodel

Bathroom vanities are available in various sizes and styles to match any décor or theme. Since the vanity is a key storage component, consider adding drawer dividers, tray inserts, and pull-out baskets to maximize storage options for your bathroom remodel.

Pairing a richly colored vanity with white walls and countertops creates a striking contrast, making the vanity the focal point of your new bathroom. For a modern, high-impact look, consider using black or brass plumbing fixtures to add another level of elegance to your design.

How to Increase Your Home’s Value with a Bathroom Oasis

Whether you’re getting ready to sell your home or plan to live there for the foreseeable future, a remodeled bathroom oasis will increase your home’s value. According to the Remodeling website 2024 Cost vs. Value Guide, here are the average bathroom remodel costs and their ROI (Return On Investment) for Lincoln, MA homes like yours.

    Bathroom RemodelCostResale ValueROI
    Midrange$26,000.00$25,077.0094.8%
    Universal Design$41,900.00$26,311.0062.7%
    Luxury/Upscale$81,000.00$47,471.0058.5%

Unfortunately, many homeowners assume they must hire a designer, architect, and contractor for home additions or remodeling projects. However, working with a design-build general contractor like Bay State Remodeling can dramatically decrease the design, planning, construction costs, and project stress for any bathroom, kitchen, or whole-house remodeling project.
