    Arlington runs from East Arlington, on the Cambridge and Somerville side, through Arlington Center to Arlington Heights to the west, with the Minuteman Bikeway following the old rail line through all three. East Arlington has many two-family and apartment houses from the streetcar era, while Arlington Heights has colonials, capes and cottages.
